Cat's are often misconcieved as isolated creatures, and while this may be true for some cats, not all cats feel this way. Often times, cats grow in bonded pairs , this means that they are emotionally dependant on another cat. Losing their pair can result in lonliness and isolation. If you notice your cat is acting different from their normal behavior, such as meowing accessively or isolating themselves for periods of time, it might be time to look into getting another cat. It is important to know that all cats can be territorial, espically male cats. Be careful when introducing male cats to eachother, it is recommended to introduce female cats or younger males cats to prevent them from harming eachother.
Cats are exceptionally talented at hiding their illnesses. One of the signs they struggle to hide is loss of appetite. If you notice your cat is suddenly not eating or is impulsivily throwing up, it may be time to look into the food they're eating. There are two type of food: Dry food and Wet food. Kittens usually gravitate towards wet food because it is easier for them to eat and requires less chewing. Grown cats can be a little more difficult to figure out, most of it is determined by what they are used to when growing up. If a cat has grown up eating wet food, they may refuse to switch to dry food. A good way to get them used to dry food is to sprinkle small amounts into their wet food until they become used to it.
Every cat is different, not every cat is used to meowing. Some cats meow more than others, whils some don't meow at all! This is actually pretty normal. This should only concern you if your cat suddenly changes their habits. For example, if they suddent stop meowing all together when they were previously very talkative and vice versa. Cats are weird creatures, there is a chance your cat has suddenly decided to just change their behaviour. If they seen content, their is no reason to worry.
